Keeping Fresh during COVID-19

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by COVID-19 and those grappling to come to terms with this new reality. We want to reach out to reassure you of the steps we’re taking to limit the spread and effects of the virus.

The safety and health of our community, including our customers and staff, is our primary focus right now.

Guided by the World Health Organisation (WHO), international best practice and directives by the South African Department of Health and National Institute of Communicable Diseases, Gerber Fresh has implemented precautionary measures across the business to mitigate the risk of the virus transmission, we will adjust accordingly as time goes. Rest assured, our staff are standing by to assist where needed.

We advise all our customers to also follow personal hygiene guidelines as set out by the WHO and the National Department of Health.

 Enhanced Hygiene Practices

We have been educating our staff in line with WHO guidelines and have implemented strict internal hygiene policies across our business such as personal avoidance, widespread access to hand sanitiser, increased frequency of cleaning of all work spaces including cell phones and hands. Where operationally possible we have started rolling out rotation schedules to allow staff to work remotely.

21 day – Lockdown

We are fortunate to be able to fall under the essential services category, therefore we may proceed in trading and supplying our customers with their individual needs during the 21 day lockdown. Our team are on call and working remotely where possible. We dearly sympathize with the companies which are forced to close completely during this time.

Wishing everyone infected by COVID-19 a speedy recovery and for those around them strenght throughout this difficult time.

We would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to all the medical staff who are working day and night to flatten the curve of this dreaded disease.

As we continue to monitor and respond to the rapidly changing situation, we’ll keep sharing updates on Facebook and email or call.

Keep Fresh for yourself, your health, your family and those around you!
